About Moxey

Moxey is a brand like no other. The architecture arm, Moxey Associates, was established in 1983 by Tim Moxey (Former chairman of Dorset RIBA) as a family business, so company principal Simon Moxey grew up with architecture and design in the blood. Internationally award winning, Moxey Associates has traditionally focussed on high end residential housing creating forever homes for people on the South Coast from the New Forest to the West Country. Following Simon Moxey’s Masters Qualification from the Royal College of Art in London in 2011 the practice has expanded to include high end residential UK and Europe wide, as well as various prestigious commercial and retail projects in and around London. The Moxey brand, through a wealth of construction experience is able to offer bespoke build projects as well as interior design to its architecture clients. Very few architecture practices offer such an all round, high quality level of service.

  • Simon originally qualified from the prestigious Bartlett School of Architecture in London before going on to join his father Tim for 10 important years within the fields of architecture, development and construction, managing projects from the design stage right through the build to completion.

Following his qualification from the RCA, he was recognised in numerous publications and for awards including nomination for the International Graduate Award, Moscow (2013), RCA Student Prize for Architecture (2013), shortlisted for the Global Architecture Graduate Awards (2012), exhibiting at the European Commission and The Building Centre (London) as part of the New London Architecture, featuring as an emerging talent in the Wallpaper Graduate Directory and gaining a front page feature on the Architectural Review October 2012. Simon has also been commissioned for work from notable brands including Heals Furniture Store, Bella Freud and Paul Smith.

Simon’s architectural style is now significantly influenced by many different genres particularly having spent time living and working in Berlin and Lisbon. Now at the helm of the Moxey brand based in Sandbanks, Simon is focussing on creating beautiful houses in London and the South West with attention to detail, creating homes rather than houses and client satisfaction being at the heart of the practice’s ethos.
